Feminine Energy & Embodiment Practice Creative Journaling
Hosted Monthly by Carly & Ellie
Ever felt like you wanted to flow & release your womb energy with freedom from judgement, in a creative space to explore ways of releasing words, thoughts, or images onto paper?
Over the course of the year, we meet every month as a women’s only circle to explore creative & embodiment practices, releasing and exploring memories, thoughts, dreams & emotions.
The space is a commitment to deep self-reflection & the call of inner wisdom, to share thoughts, feelings and set intentions based upon inner & outer cycles of the seasons and archetypes.
The Circles will be centred around archetypal work, mythology, self-enquiry, self-expression, art psychotherapy & seasonal cycles and menstrual cycle awareness for women bleeding or in absence of a bleed, in all stages of life.
Creative approaches will include collage, automatic drawing as well as writing - all powerful offerings for playful expressions of self. Offering neurodiverse & creative opportunities to find your style and preferred approach to journaling.
Expect a safe space to open and explore the subconsciousness, held in safety, with tools and practices to evoke the womb’s creativity, self-expression, in circle surrounded by women holding you in your dreams and visions.
September 26th we will begin to explore the inner & outer season of Autumn, archetype Wild Woman over 3 months.
o Mother: Ovulatory Phase (Summer) June-August
o Wild Woman: Luteal Phase (Autumn) September – November
o Wise Woman: Menstruation Phase (Winter) December – February
o Maiden: Follicular Phase (Spring) March-May
The year will be broken down in to 4 quarters, each with their own theme. This allows time for exploration of each aspect, including the internal masculine & shadow side.
Supporting the feminine creative energy within us all & the natural circles of life cycles of life, death, and rebirth.
It's important to note that there is no commitment to join for the entire year although it's advisable to join throughout

One of the most stigmatized female archetypes, the wild woman represents the woman who owns her mind, sexual energy, and creative power.
A rebel and force to be reckoned with, she doesn’t hold back her burning fury and rage at injustice.

A collaborative and private space for women looking to share experiences, memories, physical responses, wisdom and heart-led thought-provoking discussions around the themes.
The journaling practice will develop and deepen our understanding of ourselves, process our emotions and reconnect with our innate creativity.
We will introduce and play with different approaches to journaling in our sessions and invite participants to continue this exploration through the month, to find what serves you best in this journey.
This is a space where we can, and will hold each other, no matter how we show up in the moment.
It's a place where we welcome all aspects of ourselves, including the shadow aspects that we may feel hesitant to acknowledge or express.
Each session will finish with an embodiment practice to allow space for healing, connection, and mindfulness.

Carly
Holistic therapist, mother, neurodiverse woman, and a love of playful creativity.
My intention is to create a group of like-minded women, and find time for creative ways to process thoughts, feelings & emotions in a society that diminishes the space for reflections on the beauty of feminine energy. A society that also discourages our natural expression & our connection to the ever changing and transformative periods in life as a woman where shame & conditions are experienced around our feminine, sexuality, menstruation, mothering, pregnancy loss, ageing and sisterhood to name a few.
Carly has over 20 year’s experience as a practitioner honouring the birth, death and rebirth stages of life with women, she has also participated and held weekly circles for over 7 years, including circles for mothers, women and teenage girls.
Ellie
Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, group facilitator, mother and keen journaler. She provides a supportive environment in her one to one work and groups, where people can feel contained and held enough to begin to open up to their fullest selves. She runs creative journaling groups for parents, supporting them with the challenges and new experiences transitioning into this new stage of life. She came to journaling herself during her art therapy training, but developed it as a core part of her self care practice during lockdown. She sees her journaling practice as a true gift, and she can't wait to help others explore and develop their own. Ellie comes from a background of supporting survivors of sexual abuse and the human rights field. She is an unabashed feminist; enjoys bad films and good tea.
